The 8E1 Balun Panel converts 16 ports—8E1 channels—from 75ohm coax to 120ohm twisted pair. The twisted pair connector is a 37 way female D-Sub. Complies with ITU-T G.703 standard for bi-directional signal conversion at 2.048Mbit/s and 8.448Mbit/s data rates. Coax connectors are BNC.
Cables are available for connecting the balun panel to Nortel equipment.
