The Lantern Communications 32 E1 Balun Panel converts 64 ports—32 E1 channels—from 75ohm coax to 120ohm twisted pair. Complies with ITU-T G.703 standard for impedance matching and bi-directional signal conversion at 2.048Mbit/s and 8.448Mbit/s data rates.
Coaxial connectors can be specified as BNC, Type 43 (BT) or 1.6/5.6 (Small Siemens). Coax and Telco connectors are mounted on the front of the unit.
Cables are available for connecting the balun panel to Lantern Communications equipment.
