The Splitter Panel is a practical and robust method of distributing the same bearer traffic to multiple cards (max. of 8) in an SS7 system. An alternative to daisy chaining cables; the Splitter Panel accepts the traffic from 16E1 balanced physical bearers and represents the traffic on the eight output connectors for onward connection to the SS7 cardcage. The Splitter Panel is transparent to all data protocols and software.
Should your RTM card not incorporate termination resistors you should use a termination resistor module on the last connector. Use a 120ohm Module for High Speed Cards and 130ohm Module for Low Speed Cards.
Splitter Panel connectors are shielded female 50 way Amp Champ Telco. Cables are available for connection from the traffic source, e.g. Bridging Isolator or Concentrator Unit, to the Splitter Panel and from the Splitter Panel to the SS7 cardcage.
