The 16xE1 Coax to RJ21 Telco Impedance Matching Balun Panel provides 75 to 120 ohm conversion (Coax to Twisted Pair) for 16 E1 channels (Tx and Rx). The panel conforms to ITU-T G.703, matching the impedance and signal characteristics of 32 unbalanced 75 ohm coax connections with 16 balanced 120 ohm twisted pair connections.

Only 1U high, the 19 inch rack mount balun panel is available with BNC, 1.6/5.6 (Small Siemens) or Type 43 (BT43, SMZ) 75 ohm Coax Connectors. Twisted pair connectors are 50 way shielded female RJ21 Telco (AMP Champ).

The TOA version is compatible with the AudioCodes Mediant 2000, and many other manufacturer's equipment. The wiring is what could be considered Industry Standard.

The TOO version was originally designed for Certacom Equipment. The wiring scheme is very similar to that of the Avaya MPS1000, for which we can supply suitable cables

The TTR Version presents the Transmit signals on one RJ21 Telco, and the Receive signals on the other RJ21 Telco. This wiring scheme is compatible with the Cisco ASR 903 Router, A900-IMA16D Expansion Module, Cisco 72-5184-01, Tyco 2163442-1. As the Cisco equipment uses the 0-15 numbering scheme, this version is available with either 0-15, or 1-16 numbering. Please specify when ordering, if you have a preference.
